NFC merupakan singkatan dari Near field communication. Menurut Wikipedia, Pengertian NFC adalah bentuk komunikasi tanpa kabel (nirkabel) jarak dekat dengan menggunakan antena yang lebih pendek dari gelombang yang digunakan oleh Operator Seluler.
Banyak sekali HP yang mendukung NFC saat ini yang bekerja pada frequensi 13,56 MHz dan saling berhubungan dengan gelombang 22.11 MHz. Fungsi NFC sendiri sangat penting bagi sebagian orang, misalnya untuk transaksi digital, transfer data dan sebagainya.
Salah satu aktifitas yang sering melibatkan NFC seperti pembayaran menggunakan Android Pay, Apple Pay, BCA Flazz, BNI Emoney BRI Link, T Cash (sekarang link aja) dan sebagainya.
